About the NetIron XMR 32000
The NetIron XMR 32000 IP and MPLS Core Router is Foundry's latest edition to the NetIron XMR Series.  The NetIron XMR 32000 establishes a new class of IPv4/IPv6/MPLS routers designed for the emerging broadband service provider infrastructure that will cement the foundation for multi-play services, as well as converged backbone and broadband VPN offerings. The NetIron XMR 32000 represents a major breakthrough in router performance and capacity by providing two billion packets per second (Bpps) of IP/MPLS routing, and up to 128 non-blocking 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10-GbE) ports in a single system. The router is powered by a fully redundant non-blocking 7.68 terabits per second (Tbps) switch fabric based on state-of-the-art Clos fabric architecture. The massive capacity of the NetIron XMR Series will enable bandwidth intensive applications, such as video-on-demand, broadcast television, and large scale Voice over IP (VoIP).
