Introduce Mobility and Boost Productivity with Foundry's IronPoint Family

Foundry's IronPoint family of wireless products provides a complete solution for current and future enterprise mobility requirements. For best-in-class wireless VoIP performance and high-density deployments, Foundry offers the IronPoint Mobility Series of controllers and access points. The IronPoint Wireless Location Manager helps protect enterprise networks from wireless security threats such as rogue access points and unauthorized users, by delivering real-time, location mapping of all wireless devices. A feature-rich and cost-effective solution, the IronPoint 200 Access Point, allows enterprise networks to quickly and easily enable safe and secure wireless access. The IronPoint 200 Access Point can also be connected to the FES-IronPoint Wireless Switch for enhanced management, mobility, and security.

"The adoption of wireless devices and applications in enterprise networks has increased exponentially. Today, it's almost impossible to buy a notebook computer or PDA without an embedded wireless NIC, and most users prefer a wireless connection over a wired one," says Michael Hong, product marketing manager at Foundry. "New developments in voice over wireless, RFID, and IPS will increase the importance of wireless in the enterprise, boost productivity, and lower costs. Foundry is committed to expanding and upgrading our product lines to meet the diverse wireless and mobility requirements of our enterprise network customers."

Foundry Expands IronPoint Family to Advance Voice and Data Convergence
Two new offerings from Foundry are making network convergence and secure mobility a reality in the enterprise. The IronPoint Mobility Series is a new family of wireless controllers and access points (APs) designed to meet the needs of remote and small offices, small and medium enterprises, and large enterprise or campus environments. These robust wireless controllers and APs apply advanced RF management, Quality of Service (QoS), security, and call admission control techniques to deliver secure, high-quality converged voice and data services in high-density wireless LAN deployments.

The IronPoint Wireless Location Manager (WLM) management application is designed to give network managers tighter control and better surveillance and management of wireless LAN users and assets. IronPoint WLM adds an advanced layer of network security that can detect, locate, and isolate rogue and unauthorized access points and wireless clients. Tracking and accounting wireless resources and LAN assets is painless with the location-based inventory in IronPoint WLM.
