Benefit Programs

Foundry Networks offers a fun and challenging work environment where contributions are rewarded generously.  We strive to provide you comprehensive, flexible, and innovative Benefits to enhance the Total Compensation Package here at Foundry. Benefits are customized to meet the needs of international employees, U.S. employees, and U.S. employees working at the corporate headquarters. Headquarters benefits include:

Health Insurance

We are pleased to offer our employees and their eligible dependents a choice between 4 different medical plans including 2 PPO Plans and 2 HMO Plans.  Employees have the choice between our Dental PPO & EPO offered through Principal.  Dental coverage includes preventative, basic, major, and orthodontia (children only) services. Employees and their eligible dependents that are enrolled in one of our Dental Plans are automatically enrolled in our vision plan through VSP.  Coverage is effective from day one.

Life Insurance

Foundry will provide all US employees Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance at no charge.  Basic coverage is set at 1 X base salary up to a maximum of $150,000 for all non-sales employees.  Our sales employees on a commission plan are entitled to 1 X base salary plus 66% of their target expectation up to $150,000.  Supplemental Life Insurance for employees, spouses, and child(ren) is also available at a small cost which can be deducted directly from your paycheck.

Short and Long Term Disability

We provide disability insurance at no charge for employees who become disabled due to an injury, illness, or pregnancy.

401(k) Plan

Foundry offers our employees the option to contribute pre-tax money to our 401k Plan. There are 10 choices for you to choose from. We will allow you to contribute up to the IRS maximum each year as well as any catch up contributions you may be eligible for. Best of all, after 6 months of employment, you will be eligible for a company match of $1 for $1 up to an annual maximum of $3,500.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Employees are allowed to contribute pre-tax dollars towards eligible Health Care expenses or eligible Dependent Care costs.  We allow employees to contribute up to $3,000 towards the Health Care Reimbursement Account and $5,000 towards the Dependent Care Reimbursement Account.

Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)

Foundry's Employee Stock Purchase Plan provides an opportunity for employees to purchase Foundry stock at a discount from market price.  Each Offering Period is 24 months divided into four 6 month Purchase Periods. There are two enrollment dates a year: February 1 and August 1. Enrollment information will be distributed in the weeks prior to each enrollment date. The purchase price is determined as the lesser of the fair market value (FMV) on the subscription date or the purchase date. The price is 85% of the lower of the two days. Employees can elect to deduct between 1 to 20% of their gross pay.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) helps you maximize your health and effectiveness at home and at work.  An EAP helps you obtain confidential, personal information and support for a wide range of issues, from everyday concerns to serious problems. For your convenience, our EAP is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All you need to do is call 1-866-248-4101. There is no charge for telephone consultation or counseling sessions. The EAP's services are completely confidential.

Educational Reimbursement Plan

Foundry's Educational Reimbursement Plan was created to encourage and assist employees who wish to continue their education. Foundry will reimburse regular full-time employees up to $5,250 tax free per calendar year for the cost related to tuition, course and lab fees, books, and supplies specific to the course.

Time Off

Employees accrue 15 days of PTO a year and it can be used for anything from vacation days to sick days to just a day at home relaxing.  After 5 years of employment, employees accrue 20 days of PTO annually.  In addition to PTO, Foundry observes 12 paid holidays each year.

Technology Credit Union

All Foundry employees are eligible to become members of Technology Credit Union, which offers many ATM sites, direct deposit, and a number of financial services.

Pre-Paid Legal Services

Pre-Paid Legal's plans are designed to meet the most common legal needs encountered by members and their families.  Services consist of telephone consultation, letters and phone calls made on your behalf, document review, and will and trust preparation.

Commuter Checks - Section 132(f)

Every month employees can elect to purchase commuter checks for qualified transit and parking costs using pre-tax dollars. Elections can be changed month to month to fit your needs and deductions can be taken directly from your paychecks.

Health Club Memberships

Employees have membership privileges at Supreme Court Athletic Club in Sunnyvale, CA.  You'll have the opportunity to take advantage of the cardio center, free weights, and weight machines all conveniently located at SCAC just minutes from Foundry Networks. Employees of Foundry Networks will also be able to enroll in the Corporate Pay-Per-Use Membership Program that we have established with Gold's Gym. There are 5 locations available in Santa Clara County for you to choose from.

What else do we have to offer?  Well, we also provide fresh fruit every Monday morning and free bagels every Friday morning.  Not enough for you?  Well then we also provide complimentary meals every night to help employees recharge if they work late.  Meals include Mexican, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Italian themes.
